The latest on Windows Genuine Advantage check and notification

After much searching and trying out various solutions, I managed to get rid of the irritating nag screen by m$.

First of all, in order to continue to get updates you would need to install the WGA checking tool. Next make sure that you do not install the WGA notification update, else you be getting those nags everytime yoi bootup. More info can be found at the links below.

If you have installed the WGA checking tool, go to muBlinder and download the tool which allows you to bypass the WGA checking at the windows update page.
In order to use this tool, you need to have .NET 2 Framework installed. If you do not have, it can be found here.

If you already have the “Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications” update installed:

Click here and save the “Autoruns.exe” utility to your desktop.
Next, run the utility by double clicking on it.
When the utility opens click on the “WinLogon” tab, scroll down and “uncheck” the WinLogon entry.
Then simply close the utility and restart Windows.
